quality of life

I started using Path last week and I find that it’s a quite interesting mobile application (because it’s not available on PC like facebook or twitter!). You only get to be friends with 150 ppl and only those friends can view your posts. By posts I meant (in Path terms): pictures, location, thoughts, music, and sleep. I like the idea of closed-friend social media. πŸ™‚

OK, related to Path, a friend posted a quote there yesterday: “Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life”.

I. Totally. Agree.

I’m the type of person who believes that having a happy life is far more important than having a wealthy life. Don’t get me? Here is the case (from real life!):

A guy who was born in a poor family decided to start a business in an early age. He made the decision with the will of giving his family a happy life with lots of money that he can make. With that kind of strong will, he finally succeeded in his business – he became a billionaire and had never been satisfied. So he worked harder and harder everyday until he felt there’s something wrong with him. He went to see the doctor and he was diagnosed with cancer. 😦 He regretted his life because he felt that he only had little time to live and he hadn’t spent much time with the people who cares about him so much. He then left the business to the one he trusted and lived the rest of his life (until he died) with his loving family.

The guy learned that he missed a lot of things in life only after it’s (almost) too late. He finally realized that money is not everything..

The quality of life is not about how much money you have; it’s about how much love you give to the people you love and who love you the most.

πŸ™‚ Share the love. ❀
